We may not be neighbors or friends, but as Republican women, let’s have a friendly conversation about the election.
We must admit politics is a mess. I think we can agree on that.
I’m embarrassed just watching the news. Grown men and a few women - I can’t call them ladies - squabble and call each other names. They act like they’re in third grade. Sometimes they just lie to us with a straight face.
So, what do we do? Stay home on election day? Skip over the Presidential race and vote for Republican candidates for Senate and House?
That’s a decision only you can make.
Here’s a suggestion: Make sure Republicans have a majority in the US Senate.
The Senate is where bad legislation dies and where Presidents are held to account.
The country needs strong, principled voices who are NOT AFRAID to speak the truth. Senators who will STAND UP against liberal extremists or bullies, even in their own party.
Women have the power to elect a solid, reasonable, competent Pennsylvania Republican to the US Senate.
Dave McCormick is a good and decent person - someone who tells the truth and will try to do the right thing. Pennsylvanians can be proud of Dave and will never be embarrassed by him.
Another thing - he is not seeking fortune or fame, unlike so many other candidates. He’s already had a very successful business career.
I plan to do everything possible to make sure my Republican friends turn out to vote and elect a Republican Senator from Pennsylvania.
Please encourage your friends, particularly Republican women and friends, to vote for Dave McCormick. Otherwise, they may be so disillusioned, even disgusted, with politics right now that they may not bother to vote.
Tell them, as my teenage daughter says, “shake it off” and vote. Women have the voting power to fix Washington.
Attached below is a list of Republican women in your neighborhood who you may wish to contact. You can also download and print a flyer to share with your neighbors and friends.
